Gift of a job at Christmas
Chief Gourmet Goods were in need of someone to work part time during the very busy period approaching Christmas but had difficulty finding keen and reliable staff. Mel from Chief Gourmet Goods lodged a vacancy with Joblink Plus to get some assistance in finding a suitable person that was work ready.
The position that Mel originally required was for a cleaner for a few hours each afternoon which would be about 12 hours total for the week. After meeting with Joblink Plus Mel realised what they really needed was a Butchers Hand who could help out with a variety of tasks around the kitchen and also help maintain a clean work environment.
Kierryn, a 22 year old job seeker had recently moved to Wallsend from Queensland and was finding it difficult to find some sustainable work after moving to town. Kierryn had some experience working at a butchers when he first left high school. Joblink Plus helped to arrange an interview and a work trial, Kierryn was employed a day later on a part time basis as a Butchery Hand. Mel and Brent at Chief Gourmet Goods now have a keen, honest and reliable employee in time for their busy period and Kierryn has a job which helps him provide for his young family for Christmas and beyond.
