Certificate III in Individual Support Graduation
Last Friday (3 June, 2016) eleven job seekers graduated in Certificate III in Individual Support, a nationally recognised qualification that opens doors to employment in the Community Services industry. The group are pictured here with trainer Hannah (7th from left) at Joblink Plus Training.
Four of the graduates already have permanent positions with local disability service providers.
Over the six month course in Tamworth, the group undertook valuable theory training combined with work experience in supporting people with disability. The disability sector is experiencing a skill shortage at present, and these graduates are now work ready. In fact, four of the graduates already have permanent positions with local disability service providers. Many other graduates have promising opportunities now available to them in what is a growing and rewarding industry. The course will not only benefit these graduates but also the many local residents to whom they will now provide support.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is set to roll out in the New England North West region in July, 2016. The NDIS will provide support for roughly 140,000 people state wide when it is fully rolled out in NSW by 2018.
Congratulations to the graduates on your great achievements and best of luck for your future careers!
