It's in the bag Christmas Campaign

Joblink Plus has partnered with Share the Dignity's "It's in the Bag" campaign this Christmas to help people in need. It's a simple, but powerful, concept: Take a new or pre-loved bag, fill it with useful sanitary items, and drop it off to your local Joblink Plus office and it will be donated to a local refuge or other charity working with families in need.

There are approximately 105,000 homeless people in Australia - that's 1 in 200 of us.

These are real people, not just numbers. It's not an exaggeration to say that your bag could change someone's life. The boost in confidence and self-esteem it will bring someone is enormous, and it's truly one of the most amazing gifts you can give this Christmas.

Joblink Plus has 40 full time and part time sites across regional New South Wales which have all served as drop off points for bags during the campaign. Having received a great response from local community members and community groups Joblink Plus has collected over 1,300 bags!

These bags have now been donated to local refuges and charities to directly assist people in the same community where the bags were donated.

Emily Roy, Joblink Plus Communications Manager said " It's great to see the fantastic response from our communities, it's a great cause which makes a real difference to people's lives. And it is good to know that your donation stays local, to help a local community member in need. Joblink Plus is proud to partner with Share the Dignity to make such a valuable contribution this Christmas."

Share the dignity's "It's in the Bag" campaign has received over 20,000 bag donations in New South Wales, and at last count over 76,000 Australia wide.

Joblink Plus would like to thank everyone that has donated bags to help people in need this Christmas.
