Joblink Plus to deliver Transition to Work
On Friday, 4 March 2016 Joblink Plus was announced as the sole provider of the Transition to Work (TtW) service in the New England and North West region by Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash. Our TtW service commenced in Far West Orana (including Broken Hill) on February 29 from 4 full-time sites: Broken Hill, Dubbo, Walgett & Wellington. We extend services to part-time and outreach sites providing complete coverage for the region. As announced on March 4, Joblink Plus was also successful in becoming the sole provider across 8 locations in the New England and North West.
Transition to Work is the Australian government's employment service specifically designed to help young people aged 15 - 21 years make the move from school into work or training. With a particular emphasis on local, sustainable jobs, Joblink Plus will be working closely with supporting organisations such as Challenge Community Services, CentaCare and VERTO to ensure young people have timely access to job search training, social and emotional support, and apprenticeships opportunities.
Joblink Plus delivers quality, value for money services to young people by providing intensive case management that offers parallel pathways of employment, education and ethics. Joblink Plus encourages participation in decision making and focuses on strengths, abilities & potential.
