Welcome to the Board, Jim!

Local business Joblink Plus is benefitting from a new addition to the Board of Directors. A position has been vacant since long-serving Director Esther Halliday retired in January 2015. Since then, rather than seeking to immediately fill the vacancy, Joblink Plus have been waiting for the right person. Today, board chair John Treloar (pictured, on left with Jim on the right) is delighted to officially announce Jim MacDonald’s appointment and attended his first board meeting on Thursday July 24.

With over 35 years’ experience across a range of industry sectors, both in Australia and overseas, Jim, who is Brisbane-based, has most recently spent six years as Chief Financial Officer of one of the largest providers of employment and disability services in Australia.

Chair of the Joblink Plus board, John Treloar, is enthusiastic about the appointment.

“Jim MacDonald’s appointment will strengthen the board, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.” Mr Treloar said.

“Jim shares our values – we could see that straight away. He knows that helping people find and maintain employment is the most effective way of helping them take control of their lives.”

“It’s also a sign of our growth that we are appointing someone who lives outside of Tamworth. Joblink Plus is working in around 60 per cent of NSW now, so it makes sense to think broader.”

Jim is a qualified accountant (CPA) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Directors. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Joblink Plus, managing finance functions and partnering with operational management to drive outcomes and performance. He has a strong commitment to ensuring Joblink Plus’ services provide job seekers with the best opportunity to meet their goals and reach their full potential.

Welcome aboard, Jim!
