Provide Responsible Gambling Services (RCG)
This course explains the impacts of problem gambling upon individuals and families, and covers the NSW Gaming Machines Act 2001, plus the Gaming Machines Regulation 2002. It includes duty of care, the impact of alcohol on gambling behaviours, and details offences under the Act with applicable penalties. It also covers minors and proof of age, underage gambling prevention, the importance of advising patrons of available assistance should they experience gambling problems, and codes of practice, while emphasising how to gamble in a responsible manner.
All staff working in gaming areas of hotels and registered clubs are required to complete this course, and participants must be over 18 years of age.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing Certificate SITHGAM201 - Provide Responsible Gambling Services.
