Training in the safe handling of food helps protect consumers and hospitality workers from foodborne illness. These are critical skills for people looking for work in the hospitality industry, or in any paid or volunteer role that involves preparing, serving and storing food.
This practical course will cover the following topics:

 

  • identify and prevent organisational and personal hygiene risks
  • legislative compliance
  • policies and procedures
  • hazards (waste, contamination and cross infection)
  • cleaning equipment

 

Note: This unit is a pre-requisite for Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
