The Board Management and staff at Joblink Plus are delighted to announce the opening of the Joblink Plus community Training centre located at 490 Peel Street.
Joblink Plus were fortunate to receive funding under the Australian Government’s Investing in Community Education and Training element of the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund for Vocational Education and Training Program. This funding has enabled us to provide a community asset that is owned by the community, for the community. Formally the old Mitre 10 premises, the 490 Peel Street building has undergone a major transformation, not only in appearance, but green and carbon friendly changes have been made throughout the entire building to make it environmentally friendly. Some of the initiatives included have been water harvesting, computerized light and electricity management systems, skylights and even bike racks for staff and clients. The Joblink Plus Community Training Centre will open July, 2010
