Joblink Plus was established 32 years ago to offer assistance to the long-term unemployed and to help people in need within the various communities that we serve.
Joblink Plus is a community based, not for profit, registered charity organisation that provides employment and welfare services, support and training to the community with a particular focus on anyone who is disadvantaged in any way.
We assist unemployed people to become more self-reliant by developing skills that boost their capacity to gain employment, while helping them to cope with the many challenges that occur when unemployed.
Joblink Plus is building the aspirations of our community by helping people to:
• Secure a job;
• Access services;
• Develop skills that will help them connect with others through family, friends, work, personal interests and their local community;
• Deal with personal crisis; and
• Have their voice heard.
To deliver our goals, Joblink Plus employs in excess of 250 people and has offices and sites in the following areas.

Joblink Plus operates in areas which experience high levels of disadvantage, and our staff assist many people who are on, or below the poverty line. The 2007 report "Dropping off the edge: the distribution of disadvantage in Australia" by Professor Tony Vinson, highlighted the top 40 areas of concentrated disadvantage in NSW by using five groups of indicators (social distress, health, community safety, economic and education). Twelve of the top 40 postcodes of high disadvantage (27.5 per cent) were within the Joblink Plus service area. Six of these areas were in the top 10 including the three most disadvantaged areas in NSW.
Joblink Plus is focussed on the community and does not operate to benefit any individual or group. Our Board comprises a number of outstanding local community and business leaders who are committed to positive social change, while providing their expertise on a voluntary basis.
