When we lost a much valued employee at the end of last year who moved out of town, we were not sure how we were going to replace her so we contacted Jackie at the Cobar Joblink Plus office and explained our situation.
As The Cobar Weekly is a not-for-profit organisation with a small staff that has to run on a very tight budget, Jackie negotiated a wage subsidy for us to be able to employ Amy.
After a two week trial, we decided that Amy would fit in well in our office and she showed promise of being trained to fill the position.
Joblink Plus helped to organise a uniform for Amy so that she looked the part right from the start and also helped Amy with some basic office administration training.
After finishing her 26 weeks placement with us, Amy is now employed as a casual staff member.
