In an average year Joblink Plus places more than 8,000 people into employment and enrols 5,000+ students into vocational training, while supporting communities through direct contributions, social enterprise, and volunteering.

We collaborate with a diverse range of organisations who share and demonstrate our values, including local sporting teams, arts events, health initiatives as well as various youth and First Nations Australians programs.

Our Commitments

ALWAYS LOCAL, ALWAYS IN COMMUNITY

Beginning in Tamworth, NSW on Gomeroi Country.

Joblink Plus began in the mid-1980s as a small business drop-in centre. Locals could call in and get help with resumes, advice on setting up and running a small business, and training in office skills like typing, filing and customer service.

Fast forward to the 90s and we were Skillshare, providing tutoring, training and coaching in literacy, administration and much more. Accessing both state and federal funding opportunities, Skillshare delivered training and work experience programs to people looking for work, especially school leavers and First Nations people.

With the privatisation of the Commonwealth Employment Service in 1998 the opportunity came to firmly establish as a provider of quality employment and community services to people in rural and regional NSW.

Becoming Joblink Plus officially in 2001, we have grown in diversity and size since that time. We continue to focus on place-based services that respond to local needs.
