Co-located, integrated support for good mental health
Health and Wellbeing Plus is a specialist team within Joblink Plus that delivers a range of services including individual and group counselling, wellbeing workshops and ongoing support.
Evidence shows that co-located employment services partnerships with mental health services have a positive impact for people living with serious and persistent mental illness (Mallick 2022). There is also a large and growing body of evidence that shows the connection between trauma and long-term unemployment. This evidence compelled Joblink Plus to establish a service for program participants who want support for good mental health. Counsellors work closely with Job Placement Consultants in Joblink Plus offices, which increases service accessibility. Health & Wellbeing Plus is voluntary and offered at no cost to Joblink Plus program participants.
